An intoxicated individual assaulted the plaintiff at a bar. The plaintiff suffered a fractured ankle that required surgery. The law firm sued the bar for over-serving the assailant prior to him assaulting the plaintiff. Through investigation, it was proven the assailant had consumed a substantial amount of alcohol at the bar prior to the assault.
