Initial Consultation

Your case begins with a real conversation and always with one of the actual attorneys that will be working on your case.

We have nine offices conveniently located throughout Suffolk County and Nassau County. If you are unable to travel due to your injuries, we also offer home, hospital and Zoom consultations.

During this meeting, we will:

  • Discuss the accident in detail
  • Review your injuries and medical treatment
  • Explain how the insurance claims process works in your specific case
  • Identify potential issues we see
  • Outline realistic timelines
  • Fully explain our step-by-step process on how we go from a beginning a claim to settled case

Evidence Collection and Demand Package

While you focus on healing, we build the evidence.

We gather:

  • Accident reports
  • Photographs and video
  • Witness statements
  • Medical records
  • Medical bills
  • Employment records
  • Expert evaluations when necessary

Once you have fully recovered or reached maximum medical improvement, we prepare a comprehensive settlement package. This is a detailed presentation of:

  • Liability evidence (photos, videos. Witness statements, expert reports, etc.)
  • Medical documentation (treatment records and narrative reports from your doctors)
  • Economic losses (Lost wage information, other out of pocket expenses)
  • Pain and suffering
  • Future damages (Provided in cases of permanent injuries)

We submit this to the insurance carrier for their evaluation.

At this stage, once the insurance company is presented with a strong trial ready case, many claims resolve through settlement. If not, we move forward without delay.

4

Litigation

If the insurance company refuses to make a fair offer, we file a lawsuit.

We draft and file:

  • Summons and Complaint
  • Bills of Particulars
  • Discovery demands
  • Responses to defense discovery
  • Expert witness disclosures
  • Motions as needed

We handle depositions, prepare you for testimony, and coordinate any required medical examinations.

Throughout litigation, your trial attorney guides strategy and appears in court conferences.

Many cases resolve during this stage. If a fair resolution is still not offered, we prepare for trial.

5

Trial Preparation and Trial

From the very beginning, your case is prepared with the expectation that it may ultimately be presented to a jury even though that likelihood is extremely low.

That trial ready mindset shapes everything we do. How we investigate liability, how we document injuries, how we develop evidence, and how we communicate with insurance companies. We do not take on cases hoping for an easy settlement. We build them with a strong courtroom ready foundation.

Not every firm prepares cases this way. We do.

As litigation progresses, we:

  • Retain qualified expert witnesses where necessary
  • Obtain detailed reports from your treating physicians
  • Prepare evidence to clearly explain injuries and damages
  • Conduct detailed depositions
  • Fully prepare you for examination and cross-examination

Your trial attorney leads this process and is prepared to try the case to conclusion before a judge or jury if required.

Most cases resolve before a verdict is rendered. However, strong preparation from day one almost always produces stronger settlements because insurance companies recognize when a firm is ready, willing, and fully capable of going the distance.

Trial readiness is not a last-minute decision. It is built into our process from the start.

6

Resolution

Cases resolve in several ways:

  • Direct negotiation with the insurance carrier
  • Private mediation with a neutral mediator
  • Court-supervised settlement conferences
  • Jury verdict at trial

Once a resolution is reached, we handle:

  • Settlement documentation
  • Lien negotiations
  • Medical bill reductions
  • Distribution of funds
